Accompanying the car is its original leather document pouch containing the factory books, including the original service book with no fewer than 18 recorded services. The extensive maintenance history reflects careful ownership throughout its life. During our inspection, evidence of previous damage was found to the underside of the front luggage compartment. The nature and location of the damage suggest that the car may have driven over or come into contact with a raised object, such as a rock or concrete parking block. Importantly, the surrounding front wings appear original and the factory crash structure remains intact and as it left the factory, indicating that the car was not involved in a conventional frontal impact. The affected area has since been repaired and the chassis measurements remain straight.
